In our sessions, she listens with full presence and responds with clarity, professionalism, and empathy. Today we discussed some very complex issues involving the Home Office, judicial review, and the difficulties I faced with the CE-filing system. What impressed me most was that she did not dismiss or minimise my experience — instead, she fully understood the emotional impact of being ignored by institutions and validated how unreasonable and overwhelming the situation has been. She also recognised the systemic nature of these problems and agreed that many people in similar situations suffer because the system fails to provide even basic reassurance or communication. “I’ve been working with Joe for a few months now, and my life has seen a remarkable turnaround. Before meeting Joe, I struggled with intrusive thoughts and negative reactions stemming from my childhood, which also affected my relationship and resulted in me constantly being on edge. Coming to him, I was hoping to manage my overall behavior better. What I didn’t anticipate, nor think possible, was how profoundly different I would feel. I no longer have such intrusive thoughts, and it’s less about managing my behavior now, as I don’t have such an ‘urge’ to begin with to behave negatively. Joe’s approach to therapy is refreshingly forward-looking. While he acknowledges the past, it is not dwelled upon. It was addressed to understand and mitigate its impact on my current life, focusing on strategies to move forward. For instance, his insights led me to realize that my habit of cleaning the kitchen late at night was setting off a chain reaction of negative emotions on the weekend. Further I learned how to frame intrusive thoughts for example, which reduced their occurrence greatly. With Joe’s help, I’ve been able to address many more triggers, leading to a more peaceful and less contentious life at home. Some reviews suggest Joe is overly quiet, but my experience contradicts this. He encouraged me to speak freely, yet he provided guidance when needed, ensuring I was comfortable throughout our sessions. He exudes a sense of calm, friendliness, and non-judgment that has made my therapy sessions with him truly beneficial. In conclusion, Joe’s therapy has been transformative for me. His focus on future-oriented solutions and practical steps has not only helped me deal with my past but has greatly improved my daily life. I only wish I had started therapy sooner and I cannot recommend Joe highly enough.”
