“I began seeing Tej after a relationship breakup had left me feeling at rock bottom and I was convinced there was something inherently 'wrong' with me. In previous years I had tried various support services offered through GP surgeries and wellbeing centres, none of which seemed to make a difference to how I felt about myself. I was desperate to understand where I was going wrong and why I could never feel truly happy. Within the first two sessions, Tej had pretty much answered all those questions - or rather, she helped me to answer them myself, by providing me with a deep understanding of how our individual attachment styles affect every facet of our lives. Through this deeper understanding of myself, I have been empowered to view past events from a different perspective, to befriend myself in the present, and to set strong personal boundaries for the future. Tej's approach is very different from the therapy I have received before. As opposed to CBT (which, to me, feels like an exercise in distraction from one's thoughts and feelings), Tej has worked with me to tackle each 'problem' directly. Of course, sometimes it can be uncomfortable for us to process old trauma, but Tej is warm, caring and highly engaging, and will provide you with the practical tools you need to make progress in return for approaching each session with honesty and openness.”
“Annamarie has never once failed me. She is incredibly reliable and easy to talk to. Her methods are gentle, yet highly effective and I always feel safe to say anything to her. Her advice has helped me through so many situations, even in just a few short sessions (our first session on its own made such a difference to my life and mental health). I always feel like i'm able to get everything out and come to a rounded conclusion or at the very least i always feel like i'm in a better head space than before i booked the session. I was never a believer in therapy before starting with Annamarie but she has completely changed my perspective through her kind words and comfort.
