“I have had therapy on and off over the last 8 years or so. Nina has supported me for two different periods over the last 2 years. Nina is very welcoming, where she would invite me into the session each time, emphasising that this is my space and time. What I loved about Nina’s sessions is they are client focused and client led. Depending on where I was at, or what I wanted to talk about, Nina was always happy to let me direct the session if I wanted to. If that week I didn’t have anything to discuss in particular, she always had areas she would suggest to work on based on what she thought would benefit me. Nina would always encourage me to challenge any of her thoughts if it was something I may disagree with, creating a really comfortable environment of open communication. I am now a month out of therapy, and looking back I believe this was pivotal in my growth and development. Firstly because it makes sessions very engaging, but also it because I feel it really allowed me to find the tools which work best for me. My self awareness has increased drastically, which in combination with my learnt tools, have made me well equipped for life at this stage. Finally, Nina and I developed a great working relationship. She is very relatable, down to earth and easy going. Therapy has ups and downs, but I feel where necessary, we could always have a laugh and keep it lighter hearted, if this aligned with my current state of course. I’m sure there will be a time where I could use therapy again, and I will no doubt be contacting Nina when that time arises. ”

“I began seeing Ali after a deeply distressing event that turned my world upside down and I noticed a genuine shift in how I felt quite early on. Although I was still struggling, things became more bearable, and the constant carousel of thoughts began to slow down and I could concentrate on life again. Ali is very professional and empathetic. He listens with real care, gives you space to think, and has an excellent memory for what’s been said. This gives each session a red thread that links them together and is very soothing. It feels like two equals navigating a way forward together. Many things I once viewed with despair I can now see as sources of strength. “So I can only provide limited feedback as it was a first session and so a lot of it was me giving information so that Lila has the picture. I thought she was friendly, although of course it takes a bit of time before I could feel comfortable. I was initially worried about being judged for the information I was giving, and because Lila would only ask open questions I was a bit nervous as to what she was thinking. But then after I nudged her she gave me some commentary and I liked it. I thought she quickly grasped the nuance of my experiences (which are not easy to analyse) and had just been gathering enough information before giving an opinion. I will be seeing her for a second session to see where it goes.”
