“I have been working with Christie on and off for more than two years. I have found her clear approach to be very helpful in understanding my issues and how to best manage them. She sometimes recommends books and articles which give me more technical understanding and additional information. I find this particularly useful to help me centre myself in other people's experiences, and this also helps me reflect and journal in between sessions. Having the focus to reflect between sessions means I am using counselling actively to work on myself, rather than passively, and it's Christie's approach and guidance which supports me to do this. I like the consistency of her approach over time, and I feel like I really benefit from my sessions. Therapy gives me the chance to discuss things which I can't or don't want to discuss with my friends or people around me, and it supports me to regulate my emotions and reactions. Therapy (and Christie) really helps me to understand myself better and my 'parts' and this is so helpful in managing my life. ”

“After getting caught in a lot of toxic relationships with people, I was left feeling trapped, upset and my confidence was really low. The depression and anxiety led me to stop putting myself out there to try anything new, or be able to speak to anyone. I was stuck in a loop of wanting to get out but not knowing how to do it. Joe was empathetic and easy to talk with. He was non judgemental and obviously very caring. When you're used to having people not listening to you, having someone that listens to you can do wonders for your self esteem. “Graham has a calming and compassionate air about him - he is the absolute opposite of my wires, hyperactive self, which works very well. Graham has listened to me pour over the past, ponder on the present, and he regularly encourages me to pause and soak up things I've said, when my instinct is to rush on and not actually realise when I'm having a moment of clarity. I do a lot of laughing at the past, and unlike previous coaches and therapists who have told me outright it is unhealthy, Graham allows me to feel what I am feeling, and it is incredibly validating. Sometimes all I do is turn up and dump out my thoughts, and he knows when to listen, when to interject, and when to offer some insight and reflection. He the first therapist I've seen where I've felt seen, heard, and understood. ”
