“I realised I needed therapy after going back to work this September. Large groups of adults and small talk post lockdown had made me nervous, but I didn't really want to share this with people so decided to just 'man-up' and get on with it. It was when I started having full blown panic attacks, followed shortly after by a bike accident, that I decided I needed support as I realised my mental health was spiralling. I am so glad I found Diane. Our first couple of virtual sessions started with cognitive behavioural therapy. As a man with some autistic tendencies who had never had therapy before, I quickly realised how friendly and welcoming Diane was, as well as how she had tweaked her explanations to make the most sense to me. We very quickly developed a rapport. She wasn't distant or judgemental, just kind, patient and supportive. During the second session, Diane noticed a potential longer-term reason why I was needing the CBT and we booked a psychotherapy session to get into it. In just a few sessions, due to Diane's support and my willingness to take on her advice, we had made a couple of big breakthroughs. It is not an understatement to say that she has made a huge difference to my life. I was in a very dark place after my panic attacks and bike accident and Diane listened to me and gave me the tools to work through it myself (I still get the panic attack warning signs, but I'm yet to have another one since our second CBT session). I am incredibly grateful for her time and cannot recommend her highly enough. Richard”
