“I have been working with Christie on and off for more than two years. I have found her clear approach to be very helpful in understanding my issues and how to best manage them. She sometimes recommends books and articles which give me more technical understanding and additional information. I find this particularly useful to help me centre myself in other people's experiences, and this also helps me reflect and journal in between sessions. Having the focus to reflect between sessions means I am using counselling actively to work on myself, rather than passively, and it's Christie's approach and guidance which supports me to do this. I like the consistency of her approach over time, and I feel like I really benefit from my sessions. Therapy gives me the chance to discuss things which I can't or don't want to discuss with my friends or people around me, and it supports me to regulate my emotions and reactions. Therapy (and Christie) really helps me to understand myself better and my 'parts' and this is so helpful in managing my life. ”

“Therapy with Hilary has been fantastic so far. I truly appreciate her adaptable and flexible approach to my needs and our sessions. From our very first session and every session since, Hilary has worked collaboratively with me throughout. She really focuses on creating a therapeutic space tailored to you but also is mindful that, at times, your needs may change. Therefore she welcomes making adaptations to reflect these times. She proactively invites feedback and acts on it too. With Hilary, you can really build your experience for you while being empowered and supported throughout the process. Additionally, Hilary has really helped my to delve in and figure out my brain, understand it better from a perspective of curiosity. We have explored areas of neurodiversity and beauty in my mind, as well as better understand the challenges some of these deficits can cause. Then workshop ideas and methods to help these deficits. I am a mental health professional myself and really value how Hilary meets me at my level (or whatever level I am at for that day!).
