“Foremost I think it's key to mention what 'areas' I brought with me when I first started talking to Hilary. These included: - Immesne personal trauma - PTSD symptoms - History of eating disorders (anorexia and bulimia) - Experiences of depress and suicidal thoughts - Being cancelled and life altering experiences. I have had 9 sessions with Hilary now which is something I did not think I would fully commit to. I had held off starting therapy for so long, party due to not trusting the process and partly down to not trusting people to have a positive impact, or any impact at all. I am immensely glad to say I was wrong. Having come to Hilary for one specific topic of trauma in my life, I genuinely feel I had a friend support me through its impact, help me find answers to questions I had been left alone to ask and more than anything, someone who truly wanted to help me find means to change my world view and state of mind for the better. With 9 sessions in I hope to work with Hilary for the foreseeable future, genuinely looking forward to our conversations each week and have truly felt my life improve off the back of my time working with her. I know therapy can seem a big jump, but I can say that Hilary has shown immense compassion, empathy and patience helping me start, introduce and be part of this process.
