“I struggled with a personal issue for many years before seeking the help of a professional counsellor and I am thankful that I chose to work with Josephine. My issue was a complex mix of circumstances, the exploration of which took a considerable amount of time. Josephine worked with me patiently, providing a supportive and safe space, asking incisive questions and gently challenging the beliefs that were holding me stuck and unable to take the next step. Over a period of around 12 months, with Josephine’s support, I began to develop a new perspective and even started to forgive myself and feel more warmth towards myself than I had for many years. If life takes me to a place in future where I need professional help then I will, without hesitation, turn to Josephine. In our sessions, she listens with full presence and responds with clarity, professionalism, and empathy. Today we discussed some very complex issues involving the Home Office, judicial review, and the difficulties I faced with the CE-filing system. What impressed me most was that she did not dismiss or minimise my experience — instead, she fully understood the emotional impact of being ignored by institutions and validated how unreasonable and overwhelming the situation has been. She also recognised the systemic nature of these problems and agreed that many people in similar situations suffer because the system fails to provide even basic reassurance or communication. Her understanding, insight, and non-judgmental support made me feel seen and respected. “I first had a session with Lee in June of 2021. I was regularly having panic attacks and I was beyond anxious. I chose him as he looked friendly and down to earth on his picture and I noted he was clinical which meant he was a doctor. I didn't just want chat therapy, I wanted someone to individualise my battle and give me ideas on how to approafh healing and self care. This was my first time ever in therapy. I am very glad I chose Lee. We have had many sessions since my first and I always take away valuable learnings from out sessions. Lee has taught me how to step back and observe my feelings and emotions and not let them overpower me or physically manifest as health problems. I trust his judgement and the way he speaks is always calm and caring. I am in a much better place now than I was when we started the sessions and I put alot of this down to Lee. I thought I knew it all before I started having panic attacks and never thought I would need therapy, but I am relieved I took the plunge and I know thst when I need it, I can always count on Lee to support me in the right way and for the right reasons. “I have had other therapists in the past but Amy is by far the best therapist I have come across. She is very patient, understanding and she makes you feel heard. She doesn't try to rush anything and takes time to understand you and your needs. Her comments are really insightful and she has helped me to see things clearly that I had previously not realised. Working with her in couples therapy has definitely helped us to understand and communicate with each other better which in turn has improved our relationship.
