“I started working with Josephine after the stress from my job resulted in burn out and problems with anxiety. I had never done therapy before, but I knew I needed a therapist who would not only be a listening ear but give me real practical help to overcome my problems and Josephine did exactly that. I found the methods Josephine taught me to be very helpful and effective in real life situations. She challenged my anxious thought patterns and helped me to see things from a different perspective. Josephine is very personable, I felt at ease straight away and completely comfortable discussing things with her. She is a fantastic therapist who really helps to solve your problems, not just listen to them. I hope to never need her services again but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to book in with her and would highly recommend!”

She skillfully elicited a lot information on the major issues I wish to address in therapy and gently suggested how some of these might be categorised in clinical terms without making any dogmatic assertions. As a consequence, I felt that I was being listened to as a whole person rather than being assigned to particular theoretical boxes. Katrina also put me in the driving seat when it came to deciding which style of therapy would suit me best, frequency of sessions, 'homework' etc. So far, I am very happy with my choice and am looking forward to getting started with therapy in the next couple of weeks.”

“I have seen multiple therapists in the past prior to stumbling across Martyns account, and am so grateful to have found him. At the beginning of our sessions Martyn asked me what I needed from them, and what styles did and didn't work from me. It meant I was able to paint a total picture of how to help myself in the best way, which is something I haven't done with other therapists in the past. I absolutely treasure the ability to involve holistic and spiritual aspects into the sessions, and that Martyn guides me back onto the right path of thought when I begin to sway away and start to believe the negative patterns in my head. Although I feel huge relief during the sessions, it's the aftermath that really counts, when I reflect on what he has said and how I can best help myself. I often sit in silence for half an hour and just process! These sessions have been extremely transformative for me and exactly the style I need. I didn't want to just be 'pandered' to like I have in the past, I needed to be challenged and to question my thinking, whilst still a level of empathy that reminds me to be a little bit more compassionate with myself, whilst not having a 'pity party'! It couldn't be a better fit and I'm so thankful for all that I am learning in this process, and all that I am yet to learn!”
