“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I started therapy wanting to work on my sense of self-worth and to learn to recognise and appreciate my own positive qualities. The sessions have been genuinely valuable in helping me do this. My therapist has a wonderful way of helping me reflect on what I have achieved, the things I do for others, and the strengths and qualities in myself that I had perhaps overlooked or simply taken for granted. Rather than just telling me to “be more confident,” she helped me recognise, through my own experiences, that there is already so much about myself that I can value and be proud of. I came away from the sessions seeing myself from a much more positive perspective and with a stronger appreciation of my own worth. I’m very grateful for her thoughtful, supportive and encouraging approach, and I would highly recommend her.”

“I came to Josephine with some personal struggles that had been with me for many years. Previously I’d sought the help of a different counsellor which was helpful in that I finally had someone to talk to, but the work we did never fully explored the depths of what was troubling me. My experience with Josephine has been very different; it has changed the way I see myself. I have always believed that I have the capacity to solve my own problems, but I don’t always have the self-awareness to challenge my assumptions and beliefs. Josephine is skilled at framing questions that have helped me look again at the situations that have plagued me - and in doing so she has helped me understand that there are other, perfectly valid perspectives. She is empathetic and compassionate, challenging and kind. I am now more forgiving of myself for past decisions and actions… and the relief I feel is hard to express. The work isn’t finished and I still have some distance to go before I have built the life I want. For now though, I have temporarily paused my counselling sessions as I need time to ‘bed-in’ my new perspectives on my old problems. I will return to counselling - and I will without hesitation go back to Josephine.”
