I worked with Yossi for around 20 sessions during a particularly difficult chapter in my life—one where I felt like I was losing my sense of self. I was wrestling with a major decision, something I knew deep down was necessary but incredibly hard to face. Through our sessions, he helped me slow down and truly listen to my inner voice. During our sessions, he always created a calm, non-judgmental space where I felt safe to explore uncomfortable truths. He challenged me with questions that pushed me beyond surface-level thinking—ones I wouldn’t have asked myself usually. He also understood the demands of my schedule and always found ways to adapt. I would recommend him to anyone who's at a crossroads in life, feeling stuck, or trying to reconnect with who they really are.

I first sought therapy following intense feelings of loneliness and longstanding anxieties around forming relationships, navigating the adult world, and being my authentic self around others. Yossi’s initial focus on building a genuine, trusting connection helped me to feel safe and supported while getting used to the space, and his gentle curiosity allowed me to consider big topics at my own pace. Yossi was skilled at making poignant observations and asking thoughtful questions at the right time, and he used his keen intuition and refreshing honesty very wisely. He was also happy to be playful and bring his own fantastic sense of humour and shared appreciation of the absurd into our sessions, which ensured that they were always engaging and enjoyable. Yossi made me feel comfortable to share things which I had never spoken aloud, gave me complete permission to be my whole self, and has ultimately fostered both striking growth and real self-acceptance. I have left our time together with tangible results, a fundamental shift in my understanding of myself and others, and a brighter view of the future.

Working with Yossi has been immensely beneficial. He is an understanding and sympathetic presence, yet I found his ability to challenge and question my point of view (when necessary) very helpful. At first he did not bring much to our sessions other than a space for me to be heard. I initially found this disconcerting but I quickly realised that his approach is to build up a picture of a client's issues by allow them space to talk. This approach was helpful in the long run as over time he became very good at linking issues and events I had talked about previously with the new information I brought to him. He made it clear that he was not there to provide me with practical advice regarding what I can and cannot do in my own life. Yet he was judgement-free when talking about any sensitive issues I brought to him and I found his input helpful. His focus on many of the issues I brought to him was primarily how it impacted myself and my own internal world. This was helpful as developing this skill is one of the main reasons I chose to start therapy. He seemed knowledgeable with the technical side of psychotherapy and provided me with helpful reading materials related to childhood trauma and arousal states when I requested. He was not afraid to explain when the topic fell outside the scope of his expertise or responsibilities as a therapist and in these instances he was keen to bring the session back within these parametres. He was patient and sympathetic without being patronising or flippant and overall I have found his therapy beneficial for my mental health and sense of self. He has provided me with helpful guidance and mentorship on a whole array of personal issues and I would strongly recommend his therapy to others. I would definitely work with Yossi again in the future!
