It’s very difficult to explain just how incredibly fantastic Steph is as a therapist. I started therapy with her in 2020. At the time, I was suffering from postpartum depression, which only added to an already fragile mental health state. The pandemic was the proverbial last straw. I reached out to Harley because I had promised my already deeply worried husband that I would give therapy one last try. I had been to therapy before, but it never worked; in fact, I often left feeling misunderstood and unheard. So, when I met Steph for the first time, I had zero confidence in the process. I was only there to please someone else. I didn’t even choose her for her specialisation, I picked her randomly because I liked her face in the photo! Today, five years later, I can confidently say that choosing Steph was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. There aren’t enough words to describe what she has done for me. I will always remember our very first session. She asked me something no one had ever asked before: “What do you want to be?” For the first time in my life, I met someone who didn’t have an agenda or a plan for what I should do or how I should behave. She genuinely wanted to know who I wanted to be, what kind of mother, what kind of woman. And she helped me get there. Steph helped me unravel my mind, understand and appreciate my soul, face my fears, process my past, and plan for my future. It was a long, bumpy road. It wasn’t always easy. I had many sad and dark days, but she was always there. She helped me cope when my worries became too overwhelming, and she helped me recognise my accomplishments when I couldn’t see them myself. Over time, the fear, the anxiety, the “amygdala panic response” was replaced by her voice in my head, like she was still guiding me through my emotions. And then, gradually, it was no longer her voice; it was me. Her teachings became a part of my actions. I could see myself bonding with my son, placing emotional boundaries with people who drained me. I began responding with calm and perspective in situations where I would have previously panicked. I’ve grown. I’m calmer now, more grateful, more in control of my emotions. She helped me become the woman I always wanted to be. She taught me how to accept myself, all parts of me, with no judgment, only love and compassion. So if you’re wondering whether to start therapy, please give Steph a chance. You can feel better. You can be happy again. She may be the miracle you’ve been waiting for. She definitely was it for me.

Steph is a great therapist! I have been having sessions with her for 8 months and in that time, she has helped me with so much. Steph is incredibly experienced, she asks great questions, she knows when I need challenging and she likes to make the sessions interactive. I have come a long way in my time having sessions with Steph and I honestly could not recommend her more highly.
