I can’t recommend Silvia enough. Her patience, kindness and insight has provided me with a deeper connection and understanding of myself. I’ve found myself very much looking forward to our sessions...
After my session with Silvia I realised hat she was not offering what I am looking for. It was counselling rather than EFT which I thought she did. I wish she offered a free telephone consultation...

Thank you for posting your comments of your personal experience of your initial counselling session with me.
In response to your review, I would like to bring some clarification with regards to the approach that it appears you had been expected to be offered.
There are two counselling theories that use the same nomenclature: one, Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT and the other one, Emotional Focused Therapy, also EFT. I believe the almost identical naming of these two approaches might have caused an unfortunate confusion in the expectations of what I was able to offer you to help you with your concerns. Despite the similarity in description, these two theories work very differently. During the session you asked me if I was trained in EFT, i.e. ‘tapping’, to which I replied that I was aware of this technique but I was not professionally trained to use as part of my practice. I then, proceeded to explain that I could offer you counselling as talking therapy and described in which way that would work. Once again, this has been a regrettable misunderstanding that I feel it was important to throw light on.
On your second point in relation to the free consultation, when the client takes advantage of the Harley Therapy services, there are certain procedures and processes that are in place to facilitate the ‘connection’ between client and counsellor. As a counsellor, I do not have much participation in the initial booking process. My involvement comes in place at the first session where the client and myself have a space to get acquainted and discuss more details about the clients needs and hopes for counselling and where I can inform them of how we can work together towards a common outcome. If you feel that you would like to ask more question about this process, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team at Harley Therapy.
Although Harley Therapy aims to offer the client a satisfactory experience when using their services, it also understands that the initial encounter between a client and a counsellor might not always be a successful one. It is for this reason that Harley Therapy is able to offer you a Quality Guaranteed first session with another counsellor free of charge.
Thank you very much for your time.
