A few of my clients have been expressing concerns due to the outbreak of Covid-19. This is understandable and I am available to help and guide where necessary. The health and safety of new and existing clients is paramount to my work and therefore, as from 17/03/20 I will be conducting all of my sessions via WhatsApp, Skype and telephone. Face to face therapy will resume as soon as we have a clearer idea of what's happening regarding the virus. You may find that whatever is troubling is difficult to voice. Sometimes it can be a struggle to find the right words to explain how you are feeling. Being in a position to say aloud those weird or frightening thoughts that have been going round your mind is liberating. This is often a new experience for many people but it is the first repairable step to your real and sometimes scary world. You may have lost your way and need some help to rediscover yourself, if any of this sounds like you, then counselling and talking through things could be an option for you.
My work covers all methods and orientations with my main interest directed at existentialism. (Being in the present)
I'm very excited to announce that I have recently started walking/talking therapy whereby clients may bring their pet dogs if required. This can be done in a local park or strolling side by side along the shoreline.
I am currently working on an MBCBT (Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Diploma.
I am also a Pilates instructor and where necessary, if it is helpful, I can incorporate breathing techniques with therapy to help clients to overcome their anxiety and relax more.
I offer WhatsApp video calling as well as Skype videoing and email/telephone therapy.
I also make home visits to people who struggle to get outside or have child minding setbacks.
