Thank you for your review, I would have hoped you could have contacted me directly to discuss any dissatisfaction with our first session.
This was a standard initial session that I carry out with all my clients and I believed we achieved a lot. I know that I gave you time initially to speak about your issues that brought you to therapy and then we started completing my assessment form to gather more information. Because I wanted to get to understand what was going on for you I did forget to speak about confidentiality which is an important part of working therapeutically with clients and I did interrupt the assessment to speak about it.
Regarding future sessions, as I state to all clients I usually ask that you work on a fixed day and time but you said this would not be possible and we spent some time identifying possible alternatives and agreed that you would contact me to let me know when you would like to have your next session.
I understand that you are not used to having therapy and may have not fully understood what I explained was going to happen in this first session. I do wish you all best for the future.
