8 Years Experience

If you are finding life challenging at this time, experiencing low mood, anxiety, bereavement, or any experience that is affecting you, I can help. I am a counselling psychologist, counsellor and cognitive behavioural therapist with over eight years experience of working in mental health with excellent. I have worked in the NHS, Priory and in various social enterprises and charities.
As an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist I completed two years of specialist training at the University of Exeter, while I have studied psychology for over twelve years. I provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a range of difficulties including Depression and Anxiety. I use a person-centred approach integrating psychodynamic theory, compassion focused therapy, mindfulness and other tools from my training. As a counselling psychologist this means the therapeutic relationship we have is important to me so I want to ensure you feel comfortable and listened to. I a trained in several approaches which means I am able to integrate the ones that work best for your needs.
I am a reflective compassionate practitioner, and I hope to work with you on your difficulties in an empathic and considerate manner.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados. I studied for an Msc in Clinical Psychology and Mental health in 2010. Working with the NHS I completed research offering a therapeutic intervention for carers of persons with Psychosis.
My training include:
Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology
Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Studies
Post graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Post graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

I offer day, evening and weekend appointments via skype, facetime or phone. I am experienced in offering therapy online, short term or long-term therapy.
Thank you for considering me.
