What do you enjoy about your work?
I feel so privileged to be given a window into the inner thoughts of others. People tell me things that no others get told. It's a precious gift that needs protecting and honoring. I get to see life through my clients' eyes, which broadens my understanding. Then to see these people, that I become very invested in, blossom, is truly heartening. Why do you think therapy is important? We live with our inner voice day in day out. Events disrupt and change that voice in a lifetime, which can be so distressing. Therapy can bring that inner voice back to something optimal, calm and happy - making an average life into a great one. I just can't see the sense in not having therapy.
Favourite quote and who is it from? "The wound is where the light enters you" - Rumi I love this quote because it says to me, transformative moments are painful but can lead to greater enlightenment.
What are your own wellbeing habits? Maintaining a balance between kindness and assertiveness. I listen to my emotions when making decisions about life. I keep a good work life balance. I use mindfulness and positive self talk when life is tough.
