Hi there, I'm so sorry that you feel that I wasn't supportive about your autism Diagnosis, I think you may have misunderstood what I said about autism. I see it as a gift and as a superior in some ways way of processing information; I never said this to invalidate you; my intention was to empower you to see past the label which was given to you, it was difficult for you to maybe pick up on this through my tone of voice and body language as you only felt comfortable communicating by text for the first session and communication is so much more than words. I have the utmost respect for you and am truly sorry that my approach made you feel invalidated. I didn't want any 'label' to define you or your life in any way and wanted you to see that you are so much more than that.
If Harley Therapy are happy for me to, I am happy to give you a free session as I would hate for you to feel that your life experiences were not respected. I thought our session went great and was looking forward to speaking with you again. You are an incredibly strong woman and I feel sad that there was this misunderstanding. Sorry again for any harm caused and if there is anything I can do to help in future, then please let me know.
