3 Years Experience

As an experienced Integrative-Relational counsellor I use my integrative training creatively, drawing upon my knowledge of a range of counselling modalities allowing us to tailor the best approach to your specific needs and circumstances. Through my humanistic values I encourage clients to reach their own potential as I believe that we all hold the answers within.

Starting counselling can feel daunting, so my work is to create a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can feel secure, supported and understood.

During our work together, we will explore and process the difficulties you are experiencing. We are all affected by life’s journey and often have deep-rooted, painful issues that can prevent us from reaching our potential and establishing and maintaining healthy relationships.

I have always had a keen interest in how our state of mind and well-being are interlinked. My journey into psychotherapy began whilst working in a high-pressured and stressful environment where I experienced first hand work related stress and burnout and the impact this has on self-esteem, relationships, and feelings of anxiety and depression. Through this experience, I wanted to work with people who were struggling and feeling overwhelmed and offer support in exploring these feelings and helping them to find their way to a more healthy sense of well-being.

Alongside my private practice, I have experience working for Kingston Women’s Centre who offer long-term, low cost counselling to women and Putneymead Group Medical Practice where I see clients for short-term counselling and facilitating the group therapy sessions. The diversity of settings have provided the opportunity to work with clients presenting with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, stress, bereavement and health-related problems.
